REVIEW: Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Joy and Faith
When I first saw reviews on Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, I thought to myself “this might be all hype” and tried several “dupes” like the ones from GRWM (which are great too by the way). But I wanted to try the real thing, and the only thing holding me back was its price point.
Is it really worth the SRP P1749?

Review:
The first shade I got was in Joy, described as a muted peach color with a dewy finish. A little, as in a dot on your fingertip goes a long way. A dot is good on both your cheeks already when blended. It comes with a chubby doe-tip applicator. The texture is pretty thick. It’s also fragrance-free
The second shade I got, months after purchasing Joy, was Faith. It was given to me by my suki BeautyIndulgence on FB. I asked her if she had any Cooler toned Rare Beauty tints, and she told me there was a joy reserver who didn’t push thru buying Faith, so she thought to give it to me instead. Maybe because I wasn’t a joy reserver like most people.
Photos and Swatches
Faith is described as a deep berry tone with a matte finish. Swatched on my arms, both look the same. But they blend totally differently. Joy glides smoother, and leaves a glowy, dewy brightness on your cheeks. Faith has more “tug” to it, and you have to blend faster or else it will leave a streak or uneven marks. Personally, I prefer the dewy one texture wise. Color wise? Faith.
In terms of longevity, surprisingly, both stayed on my cheeks for a good 6 hours without any retouch. The dewy finish looked better though, it looks set and natural. I find the matte too dry for my mid-30-ish skin.
Here’s a photo of them when worn side by side. Sorry I forgot to apply on my lips for the full effect.
Here are photos of Joy and Faith when worn, up close.
Are they worth the price? Yes. Definitely. I never found cheek tints that wear so nicely and evenly. The texture is so wonderful, literally like soft clouds. I’m still on the lookout for LUCKY which is a dewy shade with a cool pink tone. It’s always out of stock or sold out *sigh*
I hope you enjoyed reading my honest thoughts and review. See you soon! 😉
