REVIEW: Happy Skin Ready to Glow Powder Foundation

I’ve been putting this review on hold for weeks, months even. I’m not even busy! (somewhat) since I let go of one of my clients to focus on my personal brands. But in those days I kept Happy Skin’s Ready to Glow Anti E-Aging Powder Foundation in my makeup bag and became my go-to face base when I need to look decent in the grocery or supermarket. That’s all we go to these days right? Haha!

Okay, I won’t blabber too much, let’s start reviewing this powder foundation already!

Happy Skin Ready to Glow Anti E-Aging Powder Foundation Review

Packaging – Not a fan of the pastel blue colour, as it makes it look a bit cartoonish. But hey pastels are Happy Skin’s signature so I shouldn’t demand for black and mattes. BUT it’s pretty sturdy, and I love the separate cover inside for the powder. It prevents from making a mess out of the mirror, and in your kit.

Coverage & Color – Light-medium. You still need a separate concealer for any blemishes or eyebags. But it’s good enough to make me look poised and polished on its own. I got the shade Honey Beige because of its yellow undertones. On photos, it looks perfect. It’s 2 shades darker than my actual skin tone in real life. Yes. It does leave a white cast so it’s not the most photogenic powder foundation available. But it’s one you can use to retouch your SPF.

Texture  – I’ve been using this for months now and so far it hasn’t created any weird “bumps” that show up with other powder foundations. It’s smooth to touch and not chalky at all! Love love.

Scent – It’s unscented, I don’t detect any fragrance.

Longevity – Lasts a good 4-5 hours on my face. It controls oil pretty good too! Actually looks better when it sort of melts on your skin after 30 minutes.

Final Thoughts – I’m always a fan of Happy Skin Cosmetics. In fact, I’m on my 5th palette of their contour powder already! They make well thought of, quality cosmetics for a local brand that can compete head to head with high-end foreign makeup (albeit the packaging
