review: Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint (02 Cherry Ade)
Etude house was one of the first Korean beauty brands that landed in the Philippines, and one of the first ones I’ve tried. They have an affordable range of cosmetics in super cute girly packaging! I was scrolling around my IG when I saw a post by Ms. Belle Rodolfo about how Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint is a good dupe for Benefit’s Benetint. She even did a side-by-side demo and I’m sold! *adds to cart* *checks out*
Where to buy? Etude House on Lazada

Packaging
The tint is enclosed in a glass-like bottle with a twist cap. It looks like a nail polish bottle. Be careful when bringing it along because I experienced mine spilling during transit. While cute, it is not travel-friendly. The doe tip applicator is soft though and works as it should.
Color
Cherry ade is a bright cherry red that can start as a light natural flush that you can build up to a strong bright blue-toned red. Since it’s quite sheer, it can blend into any skin tone and look really good. I wonder how the pink fares? I’m curious!
If you’re wondering how it compares to Benefit’s tint, the shade is like… 90 per cent similar and can pass off as the same!
Texture
The tint was thicker and more sticky than Benetint. But that made it easier to blend, and it doesn’t dry as fast so no need to panic.
Scent
Benetint smells like roses. This one smells like sugar candy. I prefer the former. But that’s just boil down to personal preference.
Staying power
This one is a winner. I apply it once and it lasts even through my entire workout. The flush stays. Even the lip tint doesn’t fade away after a couple of bites of food and sips of water. Retouch is optional. It lasts on my normal-combination skin for the whole day. Take note that I didn’t even use a setting powder!
Final thoughts
This is a beautiful beautiful blush and I had no regrets purchasing a bottle for 199php. It’s affordable and performs well. If you’re looking for that “holy grail” cheek tint you can use everyday, go give this one a try 😉
Ciao!
