REVIEW: acerpure Cool C2 2-in-1 (air purifier + air circulator)

Hello guys. Today, I’ll be reviewing one of Acer’s latest product, the acerpure Cool C2. Yeah yeah, you’re probably just as surprised as I am when I learned that they offered air purifiers. When we hear of Acer, we think of.. *drumroll* laptops.

I usually wake up in the morning with a clogged nose, or worse a wheezing cough. Yes folks, I’m a sufferer of chronic allergic rhinitis. Not just that, I own two cats who I love so much (Konani and Koala), but also spread thousands of dander on a daily basis. Plus…. I live in the hustle-bustle smokey streets of Tondo Manila. 

I’m desperate for clean air. 

Sure. I can pop an antihistamine pill every now and then, but honestly, it isn’t enough. And I don’t want to get too dependent on OTC meds.

Thank heavens for air purifiers!

My personal experience and honest review

Design

Okay! First and foremost let’s talk about the acerpure Cool’s design. It is so freaking aesthetic! It’s comes in white with a compact cylindrical form that places the filter side at the bottom and the air circulator at top. Space saver sya mga friends. If you live in an area with a cooler climate, or an airconditioned room you won’t need a separate electric fan in the space. 

For me it’s perfect kasi Geof and I have a super tiny room in Manila and we need to save as much space as we can. 

It also comes with a tiny remote (cute) so you can control the appliance wherever. 

Features & Experience

It has a 4-in-1 HEPA filter that filters out even the smallest particle to make sure our air is as clean as can be. HEPA filters prevent ultrafine pollutants from being recirculated into the air we breathe. Additionally, some HEPA filters are designed to trap odors.

It also has a Smart Sensor that automatically regulates the purifier speed and LCD display that shows the real time data of air quality.

• Green – Good

Syempre the first time I turned it on gulat ako, oh no my air quality is so poor. Okay it’s medium kasi orange pero it doesn’t sit well with me. I keep staring on my acerpure Cool and noticed that the air quality is slowly improving, with the particle level going lower, and lower and lower until it maintained a 1-5 score. Great!

I put my acerpure Cool on Smart mode because I do not want to “think” of the best way to purify my room’s air. I trust it’s smart enough to decide. Pero if you’re someone who’s OC and likes to customise the settings your own way, it also has a manual mode where you can adjust the circulator movement, the purifier settings, and circulator speed according to your preference.

Now please set your expectations on the air circulator. It is an air circulator to circulate the air, and not a super fan that can provide as much air as a regular fan. Having this device, and especially during summer, I prefer to turn the aircon and acerpure Cool on. Perfect!

I noticed, after a few days of using this that our air inside the room actually smells fresher, walang amoy “kulob” (contained old air smell). So hmm this must be the kind that freshens the air smell too! Nice. So this can also be great for kitchens or bathrooms I think. 

Furthermore, I no longer wake up sneezing or wheezing. Wow. 

I still keep my cats at bay at night to be sure, but surprisingly, I can keep them during the day around the room, without me getting red eyes, itchy skin, runny nose, and the works. My catmom heart is happy.

Guys, if you have extra budget to spend, this is a must-have for every room. Who doesn’t want clean and fresh air? 🙂

PS: It can also give an alert if the filter needs changing. Amazing!
