Review: Acca Kappa White Moss EDT

Fighting off procrastination so I can finally begin my perfume review series. I have lots. Trust me. All my fragrances are kept in a deep, dark, box with silica gels so they last longer. Today we’ll be reviewing Acca Kappa White Moss EDT. This scent holds a special place in my heart (just like all do because scents trigger memories), and wearing this fragrance takes me back to Singapore circa 2011.

According to Fragantica: White Moss by Acca Kappa is a Aromatic fragrance for women and men. White Moss was launched in 1997. Top notes are Juniper Berries, Lemon and Bergamot; middle notes are Lavender, Aldehydes and Cardamom; base notes are White Musk, Cedar and Amber.

With your initial spray your nose will be blasted with citrus and alcohol. You’d wonder, where is the lavender? The Cardamom? The Aldehydes?

They will appear, in segments, as the perfume dries down to your skin. Leaving a soft, mossy, unisex musk. This is the most unique musk fragrance I owned. It has that bitter tinge to it that makes you wonder, is this moss or musk?

What I don’t like about this scent is how short its longevity and sillage is. It lasts 3 hours max on my skin, and you can only get whiffs of it if you smell close enough. Sillage? They’ll only find out what you smell like when you’re 1 inch away from each other.

I only re-purchased this perfume because yes, it reminds of of Circa 2011 in Singapore. I bought this in Rustan’s Makati, and brought this with me on my first ever international flight. Then wore this too while visiting Universal Studios with my ex-husband. Ah… I dont know if theyre good times or bad – all I know is, I smelled good.

Cheers 😉
