L’oreal Infallible Concealer Full Wear in Cashew (Review, Photos, Swatch)

I used to obsess with concealers. It conceals the usual dark circles that I’ve got from crying the whole night, or the acne on my face because of stress. But you know what guys? After so many years, I still haven’t found the holy grail liquid concealer. Today we’re going to review the new L’Oreal Infallible Concealer Full Wear in Cashew (price: 450php)

Does it deserve the hype it’s getting? Read on!

Product Description

Be Unstoppable. Experience full-on coverage and full-face wear for up to 24 hours. New Full Wear Concealer is our highest coverage formula in our widest concealer shade range ever.

L’Oréal Paris Full Wear Concealer provides full coverage with a flawless matte finish. This multi-use formula conceals imperfections while doubling as a contour/highlight product. Shape your face by going 1-2 shades deeper to contour and 1-2 shades lighter to highlighter and brighten.

Our extra large applicator provides maximum coverage in one stroke to cover under-eye circles, acne scars, and discoloration. Our waterproof, non-greasy formula won’t transfer, fade, or flake so your full coverage look is locked in all day. A little goes a long way!

Available in 25 full coverage shades for every skin tone.

Review & Swatches & Photos

I received the shade in 311 Cashew which is a medium  with a yellow undertone. I can already see this perfect for light skinned filipinas.

Tip: When looking for an undereye concealer, do not get one-shade lighter. That’s old news. Get an exact match or one shade darker than your actual skin color.

The doe-tipped applicator is soft, and able to absorb and distribute the product well. I don’t apply directly on my skin, rather I put it on the back of my hand and still use my fingers.

It’s consistency is thicker than most foundations. Not cream. Not watery.  Similar to a creamer you buy at the supermarket.

Coverage wise, they weren’t lying when they said a little goes a long way. A drop of this stuff can do medium-full coverage and spread out on great areas. A dab is good for both sides of my eyes already.

Before & After \ Final Thoughts

A lot of folks are saying this is a great dupe of Tarte’s Shape Tape, with a slightly less diverse color selection.

Of course I applied it on half-area to see the difference. The coverage is lovely and looks quite natural. Like I’m not wearing any concealer but just slept well. I didn’t use any primer or setting powder to fully test its claim of 24 hours but

alas

3 hours later and it starts to crease and fade. Do I have oilier lids than most? Maybe. Is it because of hour hot and humid climate? I believe so.

This product was probably made and tested for countries with a not-so-crazy-hot temperature. I recommend using a primer + setting powder + setting spray to fully utilize the concealing capacity of this product.

Do I recommend it and will I repurchase? I’ll gladly empty a tube but this is not holy grail material for me to buy again.
