HM’s Monki launches its first activewear range

This May, Monki is set to release the brand’s first activewear collection, Feel Good Wear. The garments have been designed for movement functionality, and for everyone to feel good while wearing them – no matter the activity.

The fabric features include breathability, quick dry, wrinkle resistance and a thicker weave for more support. The composition is made up of 21% elastane and 79% recycled polyester, in line with Monki’s Planet Power long-term commitment to only use recycled or more sustainably sourced materials in the future.

“It’s important for us to be able to expand our category offering with activewear, so we can continue to empower young women to feel good while being active in their own way,” said Caroline Carlryd, Head of Design, Monki.

The Feel Good Wear collection features a sports top, singlet and a pair of leggings. All pieces are available in five colourways including neutral tones, pop colours and one statement print.

The collection is available online in early May in sizes XXS-XXL.

Monki is not only recognised for its on-trend collections and sisterhood values, but also for the brand’s sustainability efforts and conscious initiatives. The brand is dedicated to using better materials in all products, part of the bigger goal, to only use recycled or other sustainably sourced materials.

This includes a broad denim range made with 100% certified organic cotton, much-loved swimwear made from recycled polyester and polyamide, vegan leather accessories and since 2018 all Monki cotton is 100% sustainably sourced. It’s also why all stores offer garment and textile recycling, why all stores and offices are powered by renewable energy and why the brand’s aim is to become climate positive throughout the entire value chain.
