FOREO UFO Review | Your Ultimate Guide

Is it a novelty or innovation? Or somewhere between both? I had to consistently use FOREO UFO every single day, for a month, before writing a review. Now, this wasn’t new territory because I already owned a FOREO UFO Mini for 2 years now. The only difference between the 2 is the Mini is more compact, and the bigger size has a Cryo-therapy mode which gives off a cooling sensation.

How to use the FOREO UFO?

1. Getting Started
Download the FOREO app and follow the instructions to pair your UFO device. In the app, scan the mask barcode and the corresponding treatment will automatically sync to your UFO device and you are ready to start your treatment directly from the app.

2. Prep for Use
Remove the attachment ring from UFO, and remove UFO Activated Mask from the sachet. Secure mask on the device by clipping the attachment ring back into place, with the FOREO logo facing up.

3. Enjoy
Gently glide UFO across clean, dry skin and massage the formula in using circular motions until the device turns off, indicating the end of your treatment. Dispose of the mask and rinse UFO under running water.

4. Finishing Touch
Use your fingers to gently pat any remaining essence into your skin, until it is fully absorbed. Follow with your favorite moisturizer.

Review

Now the FOREO UFO device comes in 3 colors: mint pearl pink, and fuchsia. I chose fuchsia aka hot pink. Inside the package is a manual, a stand, and a charging cord.

I wish it came with the usual Type-B or Type-C USB connector instead, so it’s compatible with the majority of the cords we have here. In case we break or lose it, it’s easier to replace it.

Charging time is 1 hour and it’s good for around 4-5 uses.

Cleaning is a breeze! I just run it over water, or soap a bit then rinse and it’s ready to go. Make sure you clean after every use and dry to avoid bacterial growth.

Being on lockdown for several months now, using the FOREO UFO every night as part of my daily routine has helped a lot in relaxing my mind, and lessening my anxiety. Sort of like a temporary “escape” from the world’s problems. Hey, nothing is permanent in this world so might as well feel positively good for a few moments.

My skin? Never looked better. Even my mom notices it’s plumper, more radiant, and looks smoother after each use. Not to mention I rarely get any breakouts anymore (a miracle!). It’s basically a DIY Facial you can do in the comfort of your own homes. Which is great because of our situation now, it’s risky to go out just go visit your spa/facial.

If you have the extra $$$ to spend, I highly recommend this. Not only as a skincare device but also as a #selfcare device. Personally, it does wonders for my sanity. The warm t-sonic pulsations are very comforting.

Can you use it without the Mask?

I tried to, but it felt too hot for my skin. A mask is required!

Can I use other masks with the FOREO UFO?

Of course! But make sure you keep the barcodes of the original FOREO UFO Masks at hand (or take a photo) so that you can run the app with other masks. My friend suggested that I can “cut” to a smaller round shape. But I thought it’s a waste. So what I do is just put the whole large chunk directly then seal. Activate the device as usual.

If you still feel wasteful, you can use the leftover serum on other parts of your body.
