review: IM MEME Multi Cube in Sweet Pink 01

I was browsing around Lazada looking for a multipurpose face pallette, when this Multi Cube by IM MEME caught my eye. It’s basically a tiny cube which contains 4 complementing eyeshadows, and one blusher. It’s soooooooo cute! It comes with a mirror too!

IM MEME is an up and coming Korean brand, and this is the first product that I tried from them. I didn’t expect anything, as most palettes has disapointed me either because of lack of pigment, or poor texture. Remember toy makeup when we were kids? Yeah like that.

I got the shade in Sweet Pink (01)

Price: 596PHP

Photos & Swatches

You get 4 shades: Vanilla (Satin), Rose (satin), Taupe (Mattte), and Light Pink (glitter with small chunks)

Each color complements each other, making it fool proof to apply and blend.

The colours are lean towards neutral. So you can wear it even if you’re cool, warm, or in between.

Honestly, I can’t say much about the quality of their powders. When swatched on my hand, while smooth and buttery, it lacks the saturation and pigment I expect with eyeshadows. These are the swatches, one layer on my hand. Initially I was disappointed, but apparently they apply differently when put on eyelids. See the full face photo below.

The blusher is a cool-toned barbie pink. I can imagine this baby to put on a beautiful angelic flush on your cheeks. It’s not matte. It has a satin finish with barely noticeable microglitter.

Review

Ta-da! This is how it looks like when applied on my eyelids and on my cheeks, following the instructions it provided. I only used my fingers to apply everything, and it’s pretty easy to blend! If it had more pigment, newbies would have a harder time applying the right amount of hand weight during application, and blending challenging. It’s semi-opaque saturation makes its eyeshadows fool-proof.

For the blusher, it gives a beautiful “winter flush”. You know, how are face would flush if we’re out in the cold for too long?

If you’re curious about my nose contour, I used Strokes Contour Stick which I’ll be reviewing pretty soon.

I was surprised how good the finished product looked! Even my boyfriend approved of it and told me I looked pretty. Well, he tells I’m pretty with or without makeup so not sure if his opinion counts lol.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this is a nice pallette to bring if you need to save some space in your bag. It’s convenient for retouch and even has a mirror. Making makeup application a breeze! It’s also a nice gift to give for teens, tweens, or young at heart. The packaging is so small and cute, but the product inside packs a punch!

In terms of shade selection, I think, I would get the Glam Rose next, look how lovely it looks!
