Even before this pandemic even started, macho kid and I always made it a point to take Vitamin C. Although he takes Celeen Plus with Zinc, while I, take whatever is available or want to try. Review

What’s great about Puritan’s Pride Vitamin C is that it has:

  • No Artificial Color, Flavor or Sweetener
  • No Preservative
  • No Sugar
  • No Starch
  • No Milk
  • No Lactose
  • No Soy
  • No Gluten
  • No Wheat
  • No Yeast
  • No Fish
  • Sodium Free

In other words, it’s all-natural and sodium-free. Most vitamin C supplements that are available in the market, may say they’re “non-acidic” but because they use the Sodium Ascorbate derivative, it’s high in sodium content.

Despite using Ascorbic Acid as the main source of Vitamin C, Puritan’s Pride did not give me any upset stomach. However, the con in most high mg supplements is the size of the tablets. Theirs is a huge tablet that can be difficult to swallow. I take one in the morning and I’m good for the day!

Each tablet also has 20mg of Rosehip! Rosehip is a herbal medication with antiinflammatory properties. Evidence suggests that rosehip may be effective in relieving some symptoms associated with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Here are also a few reasons why we should take Vitamin C:

  •  Helps in skin anti-aging and brightening
  • Helps boost the immune system
  • Provides powerful antioxidant support
  • May reduce your risk of chronic disease.
  • May help manage high blood pressure.
  • May lower your risk of heart disease
  • May reduce blood uric acid levels and help prevent gout attacks.
  • It helps prevent iron deficiency.
  • Boosts immunity.

So, how much Vitamin C should you take daily?

For adults, the recommended daily amount for vitamin C is 65 to 90 milligrams (mg) a day, and the upper limit is 2,000 mg a day. Although too much dietary vitamin C is unlikely to be harmful, megadoses of vitamin C supplements might cause: Diarrhea. Nausea.

Personally, I take 1,000mg for immunity boosting.

I must say after taking their vitamin C for almost 3 months now, I barely get sick, my fur allergies lessened, and my skin looks naturally plump and radiant.

It took around a week for my orders to arrive and that’s during a strict lockdown a few months ago. The process was hassle-free and I even received my orders directly in my home. I’d gladly re-purchase a bottle of Puritan’s Pride C-1000mg, among their other supplements on their website. Why? Their vitamins are premium quality but at an affordable cost. They offer FREE Shipping when you reach 2,500php, and they have a wide assortment of vitamins and supplements.
